The airline with the biggest presence at the Tijuana International Airport is Aeromexico. Travelers can fly to 15 different Mexican cities daily on Aeromexico’s fleet of planes that operate out of the airport. Tijuana is a focus city for Aeromexico, which means that they have one of their strongest presences there.
As well as servicing 15 cities all over Mexico from Tijuana International Airport, Aeromexico also flies daily to many cities in the United States, including San Francisco, San Antonio, Sacramento, Phoenix, Orlando, New York City’s JFK Airport, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Houston and Chicago. Aeromexico also flies from Tijuana to Montreal, Canada.
Travelers can take Aeromexico flights from the Tijuana International Airport to many Latin American destinations, including Sao Paulo, Santiago, Lima, San Jose, Havana, Buenos Aires, and Bogota. Aeromexico flies to the European cities of Paris, Barcelona, and Madrid. Recently, Aeromexico has started offering direct Asian flights from Tijuana International Airport to Shanghai and Tokyo as well.
Though Aeromexico has the biggest presence at Tijuana International Airport, there are plenty of other airlines that passenger can choose from. A low-cost offshoot of Aeromexico, Aeromexico Connect offers daily service from Tijuana to eight other Mexican cities. All of these flights depart from Concourse B.
There are a few smaller carriers that have flights from Tijuana International Airport. Interjet has departures from Concourse A to Mexico City and Guadalajara. VivaAerobus offers a flight from Concourse B to Culiacan.
Volaris is one of the stronger carriers at Tijuana International Airport. The airport is one of the hubs for the Volaris air fleet. They offer flights to Culiacan, Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, Acapulco, Colima, Cuernavaca, La Paz, Hermosillo, Leon, Los Mocis, Mexico City, Mazatlan, Zacatecas, Puerto Vallarta, and a few others from time to time.
Two charter lines are available for passengers who want to charter flights from Tijuana International Airport. FlyMex is operated by FlyAmigo and offers charter flights to Colima. Global Air (Mexico) runs charter flights to Puerto Penasco.
There are also three cargo airlines that will take customer’s goods to a few places. Ameriflight will fly customers’ goods from Tijuana to Ontario, California. Estafeca runs cargo flights from Tijuana to Culiacan and Hermosillo. TSM also runs cargo flights from Tijuana to Hermosillo as well as to Queretaro.
