    Jinnah International Airport: Karachi, Pakistan

Serving Pakistan’s largest city of Karachi, Jinnah International Airport offers a lineup of more than 20 airline companies. Pakistan’s largest airport is a hub for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA.) The Pakistani flag carrier links Karachi to more than 20 major international destinations on multiple continents. This busy airline offers non-stop flights to important cities in the Arab World such as Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha, Jeddah, Kuwait City, Medina, Muscat, and Riyadh. Beijing, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, and Tokyo are the Asian destinations available through Pakistan International Airlines. By offering trips to Delhi and Mumbai, Pakistan’s largest airline operates direct flights to some of the largest cities in India.

Pakistan’s flag carrier is one of the few airlines to directly connect Jinnah International Airport with European cities. PIA takes passengers from Karachi to Barcelona, the second largest city in Spain. By offering trips to Manchester Airport and London Heathrow Airport, Pakistan International Airlines transports customers to major destinations in the United Kingdom. The only direct service between Pakistan’s largest city and North America is provided by PIA. Pakistan’s biggest airline company takes passengers to JFK International Airport in New York City and Toronto-Pearson International Airport. All international PIA flights take off from the East Concourse in the main terminal building of Jinnah International Airport.

By offering direct flights between Karachi and more than 20 other cities in Pakistan, PIA dominates the domestic schedule at Jinnah International Airport. The Pakistani flag carrier operates routes to large metropolitan cities such as Hyderabad, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Lahore, Multan, Peshawatar, and Quetta. All domestic flights operated by Pakistan International Airlines depart from the gates in the West Concourse at Jinnah International Airport.

Shaheen Air is the second busiest airline in Pakistan’s largest airport. This medium size airline is based at Jinnah International Airport. Shaheen Air connects Karachi with international destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dammam, Kuwait City, Jeddah, and Mashad. This domestic airline also offers trips to major cities in Pakistan including Lahore, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.

Jinnah International Airport is well connected to the Arab World thanks to several major airlines from the Middle East and other Muslim countries. The three major airlines of United Arab Emirates (Emirates, Etihad Airways and Flydubai) all serve Karachi. Gulf Air, Iran Air, Oman Air, Qatar Airways, Saudia, and Turkish Airlines are the other large airlines from Arab countries that serve Jinnah International Airport. Turkish Airlines is the only carrier from Europe that serves Pakistan’s biggest city. All international airlines operate in the East Concourse at the airport.
