Airlines Serving Frankfurt Airport

It’s quite natural that Germany’s busiest airport is a major hub for the country’s largest airline company. Lufthansa connects Frankfurt Airport to all major cities within Europe and dozens of other important destinations throughout Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and the American continents.

Germany’s flag carrier links the city of Frankfurt with capital European cities such as Amsterdam, Athens, Bucharest, Copenhagen, London, Lisbon, Madrid, Rome, Paris, Stockholm, and others. Of course, Lufthansa also offers direct service to other large cities in France, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, and other European countries. Lufthansa passengers at Frankfurt Airport are also well connected to major domestic destinations including Dusseldorf, Dresden, Hanover, Hamburg, Nuremberg, Munich, and Stuttgart. The German flag carrier is also a reliable link into North America as the airline offers flights to major U.S. cities like Boston, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and Seattle. Offering direct service to Montreal and Toronto, Lufthansa connects Frankfurt to some of the largest cities in Canada. Lufthansa uses Concourse A, B, and C in Terminal 1.

Another major German carrier based at Frankfurt Airport is Condor Flugdienst. This modest sized carrier offers a schedule that has over 50 destinations. Condor mostly offers trips to popular resort destinations around the world. The diverse Condor lineup includes direct journeys to the Caribbean Sea, South America, Central America, North America, Mediterranean region, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Antalya, Cancun, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Rio de Janeiro, and Sharm el Sheikh rarely appear together on a single schedule by any other airline company. However, since most of the flights are to resort spots, half of Condor’s trips are only offered during peak vacation seasons. Passengers should know that this busy German airline actually does not offer any domestic flights from Frankfurt. Tourists can board the Condor fleet from Concourse C in Terminal 1 at Frankfurt Airport.

Even though Lufthansa offers direct flights to most of Europe’s important cities, there are still plenty of European airlines that serve Frankfurt Airport. The list of European flag carriers serving Germany’s busiest airport includes Alitalia, Air France, British Airways, KLM, LOT Polish Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, and Turkish Airlines. All of these companies operate at various Concourses in both terminal buildings at Frankfurt Airport.

Other world-renowned international airlines serving Frankfurt Airport include Air Canada, Aeroflot, Air China, Emirates, Korean Air, and Saudia. Delta Air Lines, US Airways, and United Airlines are the major American companies that link Frankfurt Airport with the United States.
