Things to Do in Chicago
A trip to Chicago should include a tour of some of the city's top attractions. Many of these spots are located downtown - take a guided excursion or explore the Willis Tower, Millennium Park and the John Hancock Center on your own. Take an afternoon to see the exhibits and galleries of the institutions spread throughout the Museum Campus lining the shore of Lake Michigan, including the Field Museum, Adler Planetarium and Shedd Aquarium. Be sure to check out the Art Institute of Chicago, which is situated north on Michigan Avenue and houses one of the most impressive collections of historic, impressionist, classical and modern art.
During your visit to Chicago, be sure to take some time to stray from the Loop and explore the outlying neighborhoods. Head to Wicker Park for dinner at a hip eatery like Birchwood Kitchen or Antique Taco, then grab a drink in the nearby Logan Square neighborhood at The Owl, Revolution Brewing or Telegraph Wine Bar. Visit Pilsen for some authentic Mexican food, or make your way to Wrigleyville for a pub crawl along one of the most bar-filled areas of the city. Another neighborhood worth checking out is Lincoln Park, which is home to a plethora of music venues, including Tonic Room, B.L.U.E.S. and Lincoln Hall.
