Looking to have some fun in the sun this summer? With these ten U.S. beaches, you don’t have to travel far to find a beautiful beach for this year’s vacation. Additionally, with our large selection of airport hotels, you can easily find a nice hotel to make traveling even better.

1. La Jolla Beach, San Diego, California

Beautiful seaside cliffs, swaying palm trees, and stretches of sand to lay out on; La Jolla has it all. Even snorkeling and scuba diving are available in La Jolla.

2. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

The ideal spot for beach goers with young children, Myrtle Beach offers the Family Kingdom Amusement Park, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, and nearby state parks to explore the outdoors.

3. Cannon Beach, Oregon

Located an hour and a half west of Portland, Cannon Beach is a small town with a beautiful beach. Never crowded, Cannon Beach is a perfect beach for a relaxing vacation.

4. Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Outer Banks, North Carolina

Cape Hatteras is frequently mentioned as an ideal vacation spot, and it’s no wonder. The Outer Banks beach boasts over 24,000 acres to explore, with fishing, hiking, and a wildlife refuge.

5. Hanalei Beach, Kauai, Hawaii

It might be a bit of a trip for most people, but Hanalei Beach is worth the trek. Practice your surfing skills, or spend some time lying in the sun before a picnic lunch at the adjacent picnic facilities. If you want to bring the kids along, Hanalei Beach is perfect for swimming, and has a lifeguard on duty.

6. Ocean City, New Jersey

One of the best family beaches in the U.S., and arguably the best on the East Coast. Ocean City offers boardwalk, fine dining, and plenty of vacation rentals. The island has maintained its reputation as a family vacation spot by banning the sale of alcohol within city borders.

7. Clearwater Beach, Florida

For a Gulf Coast vacation, Clearwater Beach offer miles of white sandy beaches to lounge or play volleyball on.

8. Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts

A U.S. beach doesn’t have to include the ocean to be a great vacation location. Packard Park Beach on Lake Michigan is family-friendly, with swimming, a picnic area, and a playground.
